Q: Could you introduce yourself?
Ardy : My name is Ardy Alam. I'm the CEO of Garasi.id. We're an online marketplace, specializing in used car trade, car maintenance, car servicing, and our mission is to enable people to buy cars with financing, insurance, and other aspects that are needed to take care of the car after someone is able to obtain the car. We are a fairly new startup. We were established in 2017. We're based in Indonesia, We are established in three cities in Indonesia - in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung.
Q: How did you get to know about peopleHum?
Ardy: So peopleHum was introduced to us by one of our sister companies. Garasi was started with three people and then along the way we grew up to like 30 people, 50 people, 80 people, and soon realized that we needed a tool that could support our unceasing recruitment needs. It is very easy to get lost in the process when you have multiple candidates, and you're conducting multiple interviews and need to make sure the feedback from all those interviews is recorded correctly and systematically. Also, the process, the timeline, the milestones of hiring somebody is properly maintained and so, we decided we need a proper system in place. And in this case, peopleHum came on board and really helped us a lot in that aspect.
"We realized we needed a tool that could support our unceasing recruitment needs. It's very easy to get lost in the hiring process when you have multiple candidates, and you're conducting multiple interviews and need to make sure the feedback from all those interviews is recorded correctly and systematically. That's where peopleHum really helped us out."
Q: What are certain features that peopleHum helped you with and what are the features you liked the best?
Ardy: I think, first of all, the ability to track the process of candidates right from screening resumes, recording interview tests scores for each candidate at various stages of the interview process, being able to leave comments as feedback after each interview that is then passed on to the next interviewer which aids in collective decision making and finally the offer process. These are the features that really respond to the end to end tracking of candidates.
In addition, peopleHum has a feature for performance appraisals, where we can see the progress of a person from a candidate into an employee, and then as the employee moves into a more experienced role while being considered for a promotion, it is very helpful to have tools like peopleHum to be able to have an integrated system. Everything is recorded and since it's on the cloud, I don't have to worry about investing in a secure computer with its own infrastructure, etc. because it's already exists in the cloud with peopleHum. I think one of the benefits of peopleHum is the ability to get offer letters digitally signed by candidates. So that minimizes paperwork, especially during this pandemic era where it's difficult to send physical offer letters and get it back on time.
Next is the onboarding process. There's a digital onboarding feature that peopleHum offers where there's no need for a candidate to show up physically to complete formalities and various other paper work. Instead everything is taken care of seamlessly and quickly digitally, on peopleHum.
Q: If you could talk about the customer service team of peopleHum and how did they support you?
Ardy: So peopleHum came already with a set of standard features, and when we first got started with the platform, we did need some training. The peopleHum team is absolutely great in terms of communication. They are very professional in terms of how they trained our HR folks in order to be able to properly use the features, the 24*7 support when our team or our users had questions, they were always ready with solutions. There's not much customization that’s needed. It's already standard, it's well-taught so that when you get it out of the box, it's quite simple to use.
Q: On a scale of 10, 10 being the highest, how satisfied are you with peopleHum?
Ardy: I'm very satisfied with it! Probably 10 will be good. 9.9 to 10. I mean, it's very simple to use, very user friendly, the UI, the interface - there's lots of opportunities for upcoming startups like us that meet the very cost of efficient tools. That's why I'll rate the highest for peopleHum.
